Social Media Check-ins Help Samantha Taylor Donate to a Different Charity Monthly
Tampa, Florida: The month of September was literally for the dogs at each Samantha Taylor Fitness location. Members who checked-in on Facebook or Instagram upon arrival at the studio saw that check-in converted into four bowls of dog food donated to a shelter animal. In order to maximize awareness and increase the charitable donation to GreaterGood.org, members worked out with 15 lb. bags of dog food during the month.
“Through our partnership with Sweat Angels, we can create a fantastic program of charitable giving, by the simple act of checking-in. It’s a great opportunity to encourage philanthropy and build a method of fun workouts and accountability for our members,” said Samantha Taylor, CEO and Health and Fitness Expert. “Every month we have an opportunity to donate to a different charitable organization. In October, check-ins are helping us provide breast and ovarian cancer assessments,” she continued.
The bags of dog food were then donated to the local Tampa Bay Humane Society by Amy Singletary and Jessica Allen Warren, on behalf of Samantha Taylor Fitness. Singletary and Warren, two boot camp trainers, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit with the animals. Sherry Silk, of the Tampa Bay Humane Society, then gave the trainers a very special treat: an afternoon visit with the shelter animals.
September’s check-in resulted in 2,072 bowls of dog food donated by the studio members, which was only a part of the 1,073,697 bowls of dog food donated by all check-ins through the Sweat Angels organization. “We are proud of our members and their contributions,“ beamed Samantha Taylor.
