Griswold Home Care Tampa Marks its Anniversary With Plan to Pay It Forward
The Tampa Office of Griswold Home Care is marking 10 years in business with a series of giving activities targeted at organizations serving seniors and the disabled. Most recently, the office awarded grants from the Jean Griswold Foundation to both the Tampa and Pasco Lighthouses for the Visually Impaired and Blind and Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care.
The project theme, “Ten Years of Service, Ten Acts of Caring” aligns with both Griswold Home Care’s mission to provide quality care for seniors and the disabled and its late founder Jean Griswold’s compassion and empathy that drove her to start the company in 1982. Arthur and Frieda Moseley, the owners and operators of the Tampa and Pasco franchises, have also adopted the company’s slogan, “Delivered with Heart,” as the focus of their initiative through the end of 2018.
“We really wanted to do something special to share the caring spirit exhibited by our staff and the caregivers we refer with the broader community,” said Frieda Moseley. “Between the charities we’ve already given to, and others like Alzheimer’s Association, Meals on Wheels, the Shriners, Feeding Tampa Bay and CurePSP (a not-for-profit that works to combat the neurodegenerative disease supranuclear palsy, a debilitating brain disorder with no treatment or cure) we hope to touch as many people as possible in as many ways as possible from all of the areas we serve.”
Opened in January 2008, the Tampa Office of Griswold Home Care expanded into Pasco County and now covers clients from Brandon to Hudson and from Thonotosassa to Westchase. To date, the office has served over 1,000 clients while the caregivers it refers have made over 150,000 visits and provided over a million hours of service.
“In the months ahead, we will highlight one to two charities each month, raising money for them and boosting awareness of the services that they provide,” Frieda Moseley added.
